He lectures in marketing, management strategy and culture at the Graduate School of Management at Boston University.
Duane has just returned to the US after living and working in India for three years. He worked extensively with Indian executives, engineers and students. He has toured, trained and lectured in over 25 Indian cities since 2004.
Duane’s expertise is especially strong on India and Southeast Asia having delivered training programs such as Working Effectively with India, Thriving in India, Working Effectively in the US and Working Globally. Duane has worked in a wide array of industries from financial services, vehicle manufacturing, high technology, healthcare, retailing and electronics. He has conducted executive briefings, group training courses and expat training at leading firms in those industries.
Duane was also a senior faculty member at UK-based Wigan & Leigh College in India. He lectured hundreds of Indian graduate students in marketing and management at the college’s Bangalore center since 2004. He developed a soft skills forum, several academic courses and over a dozen workshops, exercises and projects for use throughout the college’s twenty centers in India. He was known for his energetic style and guest lectured at WLC in Ahmedabad, Bhubneshwar, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune. He serves as an advisor to the US Private Equity firm that owns a controlling interest in the college as well as on the college’s National Academic Board.

He started his career in the distinct corporate culture of franchising, working with high powered brands such as Pizza Hut, McDonalds, Taco Bell and Carvel. He shifted into the virtual world of the Internet in 1997; working with two dot.com start ups. Prior to moving to India, he bridged the worlds of food and Internet by building a million dollar e-commerce division at the Dancing Deer Baking Company, a Boston based cookie company.
Duane still dabbles in advertising having provided voice overs for both online software training classes as well as corporate videos for a variety of multinational companies in addition to radio ads for IBM, Hutch (now Vodaphone) and a television ad for Fleet Bank (now Bank of America). He is approaching a million air miles logged in Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, North America and South America. Having visited six continents he’s determined to visit Antarctica so he can check it off his list.
Duane holds a Bachelors Degree in Marketing from Bryant College and an MBA from Boston University where he worked on team development and dynamics.
